The "Mater" Toy Vehicle is a featured part of the McDonald's World Wide CARS Movie Promotion. "Mater's" 'Tilt & Steer' suspension, was created by NewFuntiers. This innovative feature allows the toy vehicle to turn left and right when rolled and tilted to one side or the other. Tilting causes the front wheel axle to swing in the direction of the tilt, allowing children an easy and visually dramatic way to steer the "Mater" in a natural and fluid motion. "Mater's" 'Tilt & Steer' suspension was licensed for use in McDonald’s 2006 World Wide CARS Promotion, as part of their Happy Meal promotion based on the blockbuster movie, CARS, by Pixar. The McDonald's CARS Promotion will include 7 other vehicles from the movie in addition to "Mater". All of the vehicles will be distributed, world wide, over an eight week period. The sales volume of the "Mater" vehicle (alone) is expected to be over 20 million units world wide. |
