In the coming year we, also, hope to offer inventors the opportunity to sell their new product ideas directly to major toy and game retailers in the US, and around the world, through our new FunScape program, without having to pay the costs associated with “production” and “sales” (i.e. tooling, manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, marketing, etc.) Look for more information about FunScape in the coming months. NewFuntiers is a professional invention, design and development company. We have been creating, designing, and licensing our own innovative product ideas to toy, gift, and baby product companies since 1978. As a result of our success, and close working relationship with our company clients, many of them now provide our name to independent inventors as a trusted inventor's agent, broker, and product representative resource. In that capacity we've been asked to evaluate (screen) new product ideas from independent inventors, and represent those that meet our company client's new product needs and licensing requisites. Our office is on a year-round, extended hour, four day work week. We're open Monday through Thursday, and closed on Fridays. Independent inventor phone hours are from: 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Pacific Time in the U.S. (For calls from outside of U.S., please use your local international calling prefix. We are only able to accept Phone Calls, Faxes, Emails, and New Product Submissions in English at this time.) (Check often to see what's coming up, and/or when we'll be out of the office.) -----------New Product Submissions--------- New products are created and developed approximately 12 to 18 months ahead of their market introduction date. The new product cycle generally runs from September through to the end of June of the following year. As the cycle nears its end most of the openings in our company client's lines have been filled. Although there will be some presentation opportunities during the summer months, we're more focused on getting new products ready for the new product cycle, and for presentation in September. So this is a good time to begin working with us on your new product ideas. During the summer months we'll be meeting less often, and sporadically, with: Spin Master Toys; Hasbro Toys & Games; Mattel Toys & Games; Playskool Preschool Toys & Baby Products; Wham-O Toys & Sporting Goods; Fisher-Price Preschool Toys & Baby Products & the Pressman Game Company. We'll also begin our new meeting schedule in January with: JW Pet Co. & Jolly Pets (pet toy companies) Buzz Bee Toys; Sportcraft; Funrise Toys; Jakks Pacific; and several other smaller baby product and pet toy companies. -----------Out of the Office--------- Paul Lapidus will be out of the office on Thursday Morning, May 3rd, and again in the morning on May 24th. -----------Holiday/Vacation--------- Our office will be closed on Monday, May 28th for the Memorial Day Holiday in the US. It will also be closed again for our summer break on Thursday, May 31st through Sunday, June 10th. We'll be back in the office on Monday, June 11th rested and ready to help you license your new product ideas. FREELANCE OPPORTUNITIES As the economy continues to improve, our project workload within the toy, juvenile products, and sporting goods industries will begin to exceed our internal capabilities. This will create freelance opportunities for Industrial Designers, Illustrators & Model Makers.
